What is Chrysalis HD?
Chrysalis HD and Chrysalis Studio are architectural-quality translucent
resin panels that allow the maximum use of natural lighting while still maintaining useful levels of privacy.
Utilizing Encapsulated Image Layer Technology, or E.I.L.T., Chrysalis panels are formed using a manufacturing
process patented by Eastman Chemical Company. Our panels have a decorative inclusion suspended in their medium
and form a structure that is 40 times more impact resistant than float glass! Yet, unlike glass, Chrysalis can
be thermoformed or cold bent quickly and easily into any desired shape. This makes it ideal for custom
fabricated installations. Chrysalis panels make an ideal replacement for wood, acrylic, architectural glass,
metal and other panel material in your next project. And thanks to their beauty, safety and adaptability, translucent
resin panels have become popular world-wide for use in commercial, hospitality, healthcare, food service, retail
and even residential architecture.
Chrysalis HD and Chrysalis Studio represent the next generation of architectural-quality
translucent resin panels by fusing patented technology with unique high definition patterns and design innovations.
Our panels are sparkling clear, tough, chemically resistant, versatile and affordable. Chrysalis will not crystallize or
develop a haze, nor will it turn white with the use of mild cleaning solutions. It is easy to
fabricate, allowing greater design freedom, and can be laser cut, welded, drilled, hot or cold bent, or joined by
screws, rivets, or bolts. It can also be cut on conventional table, band, and radial-arm saws as well as with
other common tungsten-carbide-tipped woodworking tools. Chrysalis panels can be vacuum-formed at lower temperatures
than other plastics, and are self-healing with the application of heat, so you won’t have to scrap an expensive
architectural panel because it becomes scratched or marred during use. Our panels also easily form strong, clear
bonds with commercially available cements. Thanks to this versatility, you’ll now find Chrysalis panels used in
everything from cabinet door inserts, partitions and wall panels to balustrades, signage and lighting applications.
Chrysalis has even been used in actual works of art! This means the design uses of Chrysalis HD and
Chrysalis Studio are literally unlimited!
Chrysalis HD and Studio are completely "Made in the USA"; produced in state-of-the-art manufacturing
facilities in southern California, capable of large volume orders with short turnaround times.
All our panels are made exclusively with Eastman Spectar® PETG resin, which carries the GREENGUARD certification
for indoor air quality. Due to our business model of manufacturing for distribution, all inclusions from our line
are available at all times in any volume, and can all be ordered in up to 92% recycled content. See our
technical specifications for information on LEEDS credits.

Where We Stand...
When Duraglas Inc. was founded, we realized that we had an opportunity to
become part of a positive influence for change in a world rapidly growing
smaller.
With the ability to travel large distances in hours, to feed our families
with food grown on the other side of the world, and to communicate
instantly, comes the realization of the consequences and responsibilities
that come with those advances. Everything we do in our daily lives, things
we all take for granted, can now affect some part of our planet in some way.
In an effort to be environmentally responsible, we make our product with
material that allows maximum use of natural light in the surrounding
environment, allowing you to use less electricity. In addition, Chrysalis
meets all GREENGUARD V.O.C. requirements. We are also setting up a program to accept
used Chrysalis panels back for recycling.
